Relaxing Weekend

I had a very relaxing weekend. Brandon declared Saturday to be a Star Wars holiday. When I asked him how we were suppose to celebrate Star Wars Day, he told me it was by playing all things Star Wars.

Well, that WAS fun. At the end of the day I asked him if we had done everything he wanted to do and he said "no". He was upset that we had run out of time and did not do "Daddy Brandon home snuggle theater night" with Episode VI. I explained that we had run out of time but we could do it Sunday. Well, that didn't go over well as he pointed out that then the holiday would be over. I suggested that it would still be OK.

:-)

Sunday saw us off to a Frederick's Keys game during the Open House (no word yet on how that went though there are now FOUR other houses for sale in our neighborhood). Brandon had received a voucher for a free seat anywhere in the stadium so I bought a ticket as well. We had AWESOME seats. It was COLD, so we even had a blanket over us. Hot dogs, hot chocolate, chips, and explaining the game to my son..ahhhh...it does NOT get any better than that. It was his first LIVE baseball game and to his credit he was riveted until the top of the 5th. At that point he said he was cold, his team was losing (5 to ZERO, sheesh they need better pitchers, they were walking runs in), and could we please go home. I'll add a few photos of the view from our seats later...

I also had bought some seed starter kits for Brandon and he was jazzed that he could plant his own plants, take care of them, and watch them grow big enough until we transfer them outside to the garden.

Star Wars Day...

...hmmm, considering that Cadi loves SW as much as I do...and more than the kids do, I could see her going for that...provided we can send the kids questing to their grandma's in search of the agents of the Dark Side...you know...the ones who hide in cookie dough and taste like chocolate.

HA!

I wandered over from [info]tashadandelion's LJ.
